To assess whether the DNA methylation landscape of human trophoblast stem cells resembles an in vivo cell type, we used post-bisulfite adaptor-tag sequencing to measure genome-wide DNA methylation of preimplantation human trophectoderm and sorted first trimester cytotrophoblast.
